Before your first invoice
Sending requires payment setup for the business (so the client can pay the invoice) and a business email on your business profile (replies go there). See Get paid by card or bank with Stripe. Until then you can still save drafts.
Creating an invoice
Open Invoicing from your profile menu (web: Invoices) and tap New invoice.
- Bill to: pick a saved client or type the client name and email.
- Line items: description and amount; Add from inventory pulls a stocked item and shows a quantity. Overselling warns you but does not block.
- Due date (optional) and Memo (optional, up to 500 characters).
- Business, if you have more than one.
- Payment options: Card, and Bank transfer (ACH) once Stripe has enabled it for you. The Add card processing fee switch adds a fee line so the client covers card costs; it makes the invoice card-only.
- Chase until paid (RevvFi Pro) turns on automatic reminders.
Tap Save draft or Send invoice. On the phone, sending also opens the share sheet with the payment link so you can text it.
Sales tax (web only)
On the web, the invoice form has Sales tax (%) and a Save as default for this business checkbox. Tax is added as its own line, Sales tax (X%), on the goods subtotal. The phone app shows a web-set tax line but has no tax field of its own.
What the client receives
An email from {Your business} via RevvFi at invoices@getrevvapp.com, with replies going to your business email. The email links to a RevvFi page at getrevvapp.com/i/… where the client can view the invoice, download the PDF and pay. The link keeps working; RevvFi fetches a fresh payment page each time it is opened.
Statuses
Drafts sit in their own Drafts section. Sent invoices move through Sent, Opened, Payment processing, Paid, and if needed Overdue (open and past its due date), Payment failed, Refunded, Disputed, Void or Uncollectible. The web list also shows an accounts-receivable aging panel below the invoices.
After sending
Open an invoice for Share payment link, View PDF, Resend email and Void invoice. Voiding is only possible while the invoice is open or overdue, tells the client it has been voided, and cannot be undone. Payments are recorded automatically when the client pays through the link; there is no manual mark-as-paid for invoices.
Notifications
Settings → Notifications → Invoices & quotes: Invoice paid, Invoice overdue, Payment disputed, Reminder updates, Invoice viewed (off by default) and Email me when an invoice is paid.
