The current workflow

Tax season for self-employed clients is a scavenger hunt.

You spend more time chasing data than analyzing it. The work doesn't pay; the cleanup does.

"Can you resend the spreadsheet?"

Three CSV versions in your inbox, two of them out of date. Receipts in iCloud, missed deductions you'll only catch on review.

Mileage logs that don't add up

A photo of a notepad. A guess. Sometimes nothing at all. Cars driven for business buried in the same totals as personal trips.

Business vs. personal, every line

Was the Whole Foods run a client meeting or groceries? You decide for every transaction, every year, for every client.

Home office math at 11 p.m.

Square footage on a napkin. Utility bills in three folders. You back-compute the actual-expense method or punt to simplified.

What you get

Every number, organized. Every receipt, attached.

Your client tracks everything in RevvFi on their phone. You see the same numbers, in real time, on a desktop dashboard built for tax pros.

Transactions by tax year

Plaid-synced bank and card data, auto-categorized into Schedule C buckets. Filter by year, business, deductibility. Excludes transfers automatically.

Mileage with IRS rates baked in

GPS-tracked trips with deduction amounts already computed at the current IRS standard rate. Per-trip business vs. personal classification.

Home office, both methods

Simplified ($5/sq ft up to 300) or actual-expense breakdown (rent, utilities, insurance, depreciation). Your client picks once; we compute the deduction.

Receipts attached to transactions

One-tap photo capture on the client side. Visible as a paperclip on every transaction with a lightbox preview. No more "do you still have it?"

Double-count detection

Gas-station receipts flagged when client uses standard mileage. Utility bills flagged when home office is active. Catches the easy mistakes before you do.

Multi-business support

One client, three Schedule Cs? Segment by business and filter every screen + every export. No mental gymnastics on who-did-what.

PDF + CSV export

Annual Summary, Deductions, and full transaction CSV — one click. Hand the PDF to your client. Drop the CSV into your tax software.

Read-only by design

You see every number. You can't edit, delete, or change a thing. Audit-safe. Disputes can't land on you because you don't touch the source data.

How it works

Three steps. Less than two minutes.

Per client. Once per tax year. After that, you sign in and the data is there.

01

Client sends an invite

From the RevvFi mobile app: Settings → Invite Accountant. They enter your email. You receive an invite plus a 9-digit security code.

02

You accept & enter the code

Sign in (or sign up — free) at app.getrevvapp.com. Enter the 9-digit code your client shared with you out-of-band. Done.

03

See everything

Their dashboard opens with transactions, mileage, income, and deductions for the current tax year. Switch clients from the dropdown. Export when ready.

Built for trust

Your access is read-only. Always.

Designed so a mistake can't be traced back to you, and so a client can pull access in one tap if they ever change firms.

Can't edit, can't delete

Read-only is enforced at the database layer, not just the UI. Even API calls fail.

Per-client access

You only see clients who explicitly invited you. Adding a client takes a fresh invite every time.

9-digit security code

Codes expire after 24 hours and are rate-limited to 5 attempts per day. Brute-forcing is not on the table.

Instant revocation

Client taps "Remove" in Settings; your access is gone in seconds. No support ticket, no waiting.

Common questions

Things CPAs ask before signing up.

Nothing. The CPA portal is free as long as you have at least one client on RevvFi. Your clients pay the standard RevvFi subscription ($34.99/mo or $349/yr); your access is included in theirs.
No limit. The portal is built for multi-client work — switch between clients from the dropdown in the top nav. Every screen filters to the active client.
From the portal, click "Invite a client to RevvFi" to send them an email introducing the product. They download the app, create their account, and then send you the invite code from Settings. No pre-auth or token tricks — the security model requires the client to initiate.
Yes. Every tab has CSV export. The transactions CSV maps cleanly into the import formats for the major prep platforms (Drake, ProSeries, Lacerte, UltraTax, Drake, ATX, TaxAct Pro). PDFs for the Annual Summary and Deductions are also one-click.
You flag it; they fix it on the mobile app; you refresh. Because you can't edit, the source of truth stays the client's. That's intentional — it keeps you out of the line of fire if a return is ever questioned.
Yes. If a client has multiple Schedule C businesses, every screen has a business filter at the top — "All", or pick one. Transactions, mileage, income, and reports all respect the selection. Single-business clients see no filter at all.
Real-time on refresh. The portal reads the same Firestore database your client writes to from the mobile app. There's no nightly sync, no stale cache — the second they categorize a transaction, you can see it.
Bank credentials are never stored — Plaid handles authentication directly with the bank using 256-bit encryption. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is per-client and revocable. We're SOC 2 Type II aligned and never sell or share user data.

Stop chasing CSVs. Start signing returns.

If your client has a RevvFi invite waiting for you, sign in. If they don't have RevvFi yet — invite them, and they'll set it up for you.
